Living with HIV/AIDS can have a critical impact on life. Possible illness and the resulting reduction of income or loss of employment can over time erode a person’s choices and even their sense of humanity. At White Rock Friends, we engage in the lives of our clients to give them practical support. We believe that if can give our clients the products they need to maintain themselves and their home environments; we support their overall health and quality of life. Easing the financial strain of their household budget can possibly assist in planning for doctors visits or prescription co-pays. We support our clients with hot meals, warm clothing, toothpaste and toilet paper, but what we are really trying to give them is hope and encouragement. We endeavor to be a friend in their time of need, letting them know that the community continues to care for them. We see our organization as a point of connection between the community, with its funding organizations, generous supports and tireless volunteers, and the people in need of help. Friend to Friend; we all benefit.
